About WADDAN
Vision
Leave no one behind
To empower vulnerable communities through inclusive, equitable, sustainable, and transformative development that leaves no one behind — including women, children, persons with disabilities, displaced populations, and climate-vulnerable communities across Pakistan.
Mission
High-impact, accountable programmes
WADDAN delivers high-impact, innovative programmes across women's empowerment, education, health, human rights, livelihoods, DRR, climate resilience, infrastructure, humanitarian assistance, social protection, governance, tourism, environmental protection, and WASH — through accountable leadership, community participation, and strategic partnerships. Research, evidence generation, and MEAL are core institutional priorities.
Message from the CEO
Muhammad Tufail
It is with immense pride that I reflect on WADDAN's work across some of Pakistan's most remote communities. It has long been my conviction that the people of these areas deserve basic health and education facilities delivered at their doorstep — WADDAN was founded to answer that need.
WADDAN's vision has always been that of a facilitator, not a regulator. Our purpose has never been to exercise authority, but to strengthen the sector — bringing together existing capacities and capabilities and weaving them into a coherent system of delivery. That synergy remains, to date, our most meaningful achievement.
I am sincerely grateful for the trust and support extended by all our stakeholders — most notably the Government of Pakistan and our donors and partner community. We look forward to deepening existing partnerships and building new ones as WADDAN continues its transition into a modern, digitally enabled, and professionally managed institution.
— Chief Executive Officer, WADDAN – Partner in Development
